The Time Bomb poem Print

Following is a poem from Karen Meehan who lives with arthritis

THE TIME BOMB

I can drink the wine

To dull the pain

But the very next day

It’s back again

These hands that join

At the wrist

The gnarled fingers

Turn and twist

I have to make the most

You see

And don’t let arthritis

Get the better of me

Got to fight until

The end

Me and my cousin

My weary friend
